We’ve posted about Artificial Light At Night before. Artificial Light At Night creates a lot of problems for wildlife, affecting everything from bugs, to plants, to turtles, to fish, to people… the list goes on. There’s a lot of research about the effects of Artificial Light At Night. But Artificial Light At Night is a clumsy phrase to have to repeat a bunch of times in an article (or a blog post), so it often gets shortened to ALAN.
But ALAN is also a first name. And whenever we read a paper about ALAN, we picture a mischievous human running around disrupting nature. So we present: Artificial Light At Night, the comic series about ALAN’s misadventures!
